Biography
Takako Ebata has been Head of Government Affairs & Policy in Japan since joining Johnson & Johnson in April of 2016. From 2007 to 2015, she was engaged in political activities and during that period served as a member of the House of Representatives in Japan, where she focused on Budget; Health, Labour & Welfare; Social Security & Tax Reform; and the Promotion of Science, Technology & Innovation. Before entering into politics, she was Associate Professor at the University of Tokyo for managing cross-department projects and communications. She has also served as a management executive, board member for Amgen K.K., Astellas Pharma and as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. She holds a Master of Science in Management from the Sloan School of Management at the MIT and earned a Bachelor of Education degree from the Yokohama National University.
